Prophets were not only called of God, but they received training at the hand of mentor or father who developed their ministry.  Samuel stood as the instructor of the first known company of prophets and various sons of the prophets: Elijah and Elisha carried on his work.  God has promised those trained will expand and take possession.  They will become mouthpieces for God, pointing individuals, institutions, families, government, and Church towards God – preparing the way of the Lord.
